A Little About Me
I grew up in Montgomery with my parents Dave and Betty and little brother Ryan. I attended St. Thomas University (originally as a finance major!) for my undergraduate degree. I received my Masters in Education from St. Mary's University and my ESL license from Hamline. Brian is originally from Lonsdale and works for JLL in Minneapolis. We live with our two handsome boys in New Prague. Jacob loves golf, basketball and foot all. He can now put Brian and I to shame out on the golf course. Thomas is amazingly creative. He is an incredible drawer and painter. I am always amazed at what he comes up with. Much to my delight, Thomas also has been playing the piano for 5 years. Brian and I both like to golf. We're on a couples golf league and enjoy a little time out with friends on the links! I am an avid reader and online shopper :) I adore Pinterest and don't think I could live without it! I'm an Instagram girl, have never been on Facebook. Bravo is the only channel I need on my television. Well, as long as I can record Dateline from NBC :)
Teaching Background
This is my 24rd year of teaching. I began my career in the Prior Lake - Savage school distract at Glendale Elementary. I taught a first-second grade loop there for 6 years. I came to New Prague after that and tried out my English as a Second Language license for a year here but desperately missed the classroom. The next year I was back in first grade and have been here ever since. That makes this my 18th year of teaching first grade here in New Prague. Our first grade team here at Falcon Ridge is amazing and I feel truly blessed to work with such incredible and fun teachers. My undergraduate degree was a double-major in which I focused intensely on Science and Math instruction for elementary students. They are my true loves when it comes to teaching!
