Meet Mrs. Borwege

Being a part of NPAS is truly an honor and privilege.  I am a native of New Prague, graduating from the New Prague High School in 2000.  I graduated from MSU, Mankato in 2004.  This is my 20th year teaching, but my 18th year in New Prague, teaching 3rd grade for 5 years.  This will be my 12th year teaching 4th grade.  I received my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from (formerly) The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul in 2009.

My husband, Nate, and I have be married for 19 years.  We have three children, Kaelyn (17, 12th grade), Cade (15, 10th grade), Kylee (10, 5th grade) and our miniature goldendoodle, Oshie.  Between football, swimming, hockey (x3), baseball, lacrosse (x2), deer hunting, and fishing, their activities keep us on the go.  We enjoy spending time with our families and have found that to be the center of our lives.  Other activities that I enjoy are reading, camping, gardening, cooking, fishing, going Up North, watching Gopher and Wild hockey and my MN Twins, and staying active.

Moms and Dads, thank you for entrusting me with your most precious gift in life
.  I know it is a challenge to place that trust in someone you barely know, but I assure you that your 4th grader will be entering a classroom where they feel a sense of belonging and pride in all they do, growing academically, socially, and emotionally.

4th graders, I look forward to getting to know each of you as we progress through the school year.  Enjoy your last few weeks of summer...make them amazing!
