Fourth Grade - Mr. Newman

Welcome to our class web page!  My name is Mr. Newman.   This is my 5th year teaching at Falcon Ridge.  Before that, I taught 12 years in Shakopee.   My family has lived in New Prague for many years and we have thoroughly enjoyed our experience in the New Prague School District.  It is a great place to be!

I received my Master of Arts in Teacher Education from the University of St. Thomas in 2007.  A long, long time ago, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications and Financial Economics from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. 

I live in New Prague with my wife, Michelle, and my three very active daughters, Bailey (college sophomore), Avery (senior), and Finley (6th grader).  Quiet moments at our house are few and far between but I wouldn't trade it for anything!  During my free time I love to exercise, read, hunt, attempt to play guitar, and spend time relaxing at the lake with family.    I'm a huge Vikings and Twins fan too!

I look forward to working with my new 4th grade crew.  It will be a great year for learning in room 19!
