Falcon Ridge Families,
Thank you for a great start to 2026! It's hard to believe that the first half of the school year is complete. The month of January has sped by, as we survived the colder-than-normal temperatures and our first blended learning day. The support of our families on these days is appreciated. A reminder once again, send your children to school dressed to go outside for recess. We plan to hold a regular recess if the temperatures are above -10 windchill.
As we begin the second half of our school year, we are asking families to check their IC parent portal to ensure that all contact information is current.
Parents of students in grades 3-5 are asked to note the following information regarding MCA dates. Specific testing times for each grade level will be shared soon.
April 14-17 Grade 3-5 Reading
April 21-24 Grade 3-5 Math
April 28-May 1 Grade 5 Science
This year, the New Prague Area Schools are focusing on developing the critical traits that help to outline our “Profile of Graduate”. We prioritize having learners who can be self aware. A learner who is a self aware is someone who:
- Owns their learning: As an engaged learner, the student is actively involved and takes ownership of the learning process
- Shows growth in both their academic and social-emotional learning: The student demonstrates strong academic and social-emotional skills, which are integral to being self-aware.
- Displays compassion and empathy: Students actively practice understanding and care for others, especially when faced with adversity.
